What?
TorrentFreak is a weblog dedicated to bringing the latest news about BitTorrent and everything that is closely related to this popular filesharing protocol. We are not a news aggregator, but focus on unique and fresh stories. The first post on TorrentFreak was written on November 12, 2005. TorrentFreak aims to be a credible news source. Although we do have a favorable opinion towards filesharing in general, we do not encourage copyright infringement or any other form of piracy.

Who?
TorrentFreak was founded by Ernesto, who is also the main editor of the site. February 2007, we welcomed Enigmax to our team, together with Ernesto he is now responsible for 95% of the articles. The TorrentFreak team is completed by several freelance writers, and our readers.
